Government Launches Scheme for Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism
India’s Ministry of Tourism has introduced a new scheme promoting eco-friendly, inclusive, and culturally rich tourism development.
Key components include Swadesh Darshan 2.0, CBDD, and Capacity Building for Service Providers, with a total budget of ₹2,856 crore+ for 2025–26.
The scheme emphasises sustainability, rural livelihoods, and enhanced visitor experiences.
