India Boosts Development of Iconic Tourist Sites with Major Investments

The Ministry of Tourism has approved 40 projects worth ₹3,295.76 crore under the SASCI scheme for developing iconic tourist destinations across 23 states.
Other schemes supporting this mission include Swadesh Darshan, Swadesh Darshan 2.0, CBDD, and PRASHAD, with a combined investment of thousands of crores.
The initiative focuses on infrastructure upgrades, heritage conservation, spiritual tourism, and global branding to position India as a world-class tourism hub.
